I purchased two identical BTO machines in the last two months:

First 15" BTO was apparently shipped from Shanghai straight to me.
Second 15" BTO (exact same specs) appeared on the FexEd shipping history to start it's journey **inside** the U.S.

Funny thing, the first one got to me (in FL) in three days, and the second one took almost two weeks!!

Supposedly, those 2.5Ghz G5s that shipped are shipping from Shenzhen, China. It's gonna be awhile before they make it to the US or Canada.

well when they moved my date back to 8/20 I called and gave them a bit of my mind, and they gave me the choice of $50 off or 2 day shipping, I took the 2 day shipping option

Nope, it's all speculation. You might try calling an Apple store, they might know.
