i brought my port. firewire drive to a friends, to copy some files from his G4 (10.3.2);
the drive spun up but did not mount...

when i checked system profiler, there was "no information available" under firewire...

would upgrading to 10.3.4 help?

or...anything else to try??

thanx!

Does the drive mount on another Mac? Does a different Firewire drive mount on your friend's Mac? (Obvious questions, but I thought I'd ask...)

both drives mounted on his ibook.

weird thing is that the desktop sys profile says "no information found"...not even showing
"firewire device tree" or "firewire bus"...

help!

Is this a "Yikes!" model G4? If so there have been issues with some firewire drives.
