How do I set the firmware password on my G5 so it prompts fot the password and can't be bypassed with a CD in the drive.

Conversely is it easily removed - How?

Thanks, just what I was looking for.
I didn't know there was an application to set/reset the firmware password. I thought it was by going into the firmware and I didn't know the key-combination of that. The application works better.

The application is on the OS X install CD.

Unfortunately, it *is* easily removed. For security reasons, all I'm going to say is that if you want the open firmware password to stay, you should lock your machine closed with a pad lock or the likes.
