I have recently had a very bad experience with Norton Utilities ( see my posts of a couple months ago) thanks for the help I had from anyone out there. I still have one drive u/s at the moment but still have hope of a recovery someday. Is there anything out there that is better than disk warrior? - which incidentally worked fine on one drive to repair the directory errors. I am in the process of starting some proceedings against Symantec for damages caused by the inefficiency of their software to "do what it says on the tin" I am convinced that their software reduced my hard drive to a useless state in a matter of minutes and that was following instructions from one of their technicians. I would be grateful for a) any advice or observations from anyone with regards to suing a giant like Symantec. b) any software that still may repair my drive. c) any tales and episodes of woe that people have had with Norton Disk Doctor.

Cheers
Mark

You can try Data Rescue for data recovery only.

It might be better to persue lawsuit research off board.
