I went to the Apple Store in SOHO yesterday and the new screens (the 20 and the 23) were as Frank the Tank in Old School would say, "glorious!"

I hope the new iMac G5 is based on this design. Maybe smaller versions, with the computer part built in the side.

I'm getting excited at what it could be.

Got this from a Macnn Link to the Registry:

Indeed, the upcoming new iMac is said to sport an all-in-one design with the system board, hard drive etc. mounted on the back of the monitor LCD. Only the suggested 17in and 20in displays indicate that the new machine isn't as portable as the tablet concept.

So I'm giving my self, a pack on the back. No, I'm just hoping this does indeed happen, as the new displays are perfect.

I think this appeals to college students... and that's about it. I wouldn't chance taking an LCD (all-in-one) out and about without some kind of screen protector.

Oh well... I'm sure people will say "wow", but I'm going to continue my "We need a headless iMac" rants.

I'll continue with you, because we really need it.

IT JUST MAKES ME SO MAD

I'm just looking for the eMac where I get to pick the monitor and have the option of adding a second monitor or a second hard drive.

If they sold the eMac in it's current form without the monitor at the same price as with a monitor. I would even be happy.
