Hi,

I've tried to update the firmware on an iMac 333 using the Firmware 1.2 updater, but I receive the msg that the updater cannot recognize the firmware on the machine and "I may have a newer firmware version." In fact the profiler shows 3.0, but I'm not familiar with 3.0. I just want to know if I'm safe to upgrade to OS X. Any and all confirmations, warnings, suggestions, will be appreciated.

My gut tells me you're right- it's fine . . but nowhere have I found anything on this Firmware Updater 3.0. The Apple site didn't have it mentioned either. Is it possible the person who had the computer before me updated the Firmware using a non-English version? Could that explain the difference? I had another iMac 333 before and updated it to Firmware 1.2, but this 3.0 thing has me stumped! Thanks for the help.
