I have an old pre-Quicksilver 733 MHz Digital Audio mainboard and an Apple dual 1.25 daughterboard--would they work together correctly under OS X (if I can find a heatsink for the dual daughterboard). If yes, is it possible to buy a heatsink (maybe not from Apple) that would do the job?

Short story, no. The closes you _might_ be able to do is a Dual 1.0 GHz MPU from a QS2002 model. MDD MPUs are not compatible with QuickSilvers or earlier.

I seriously doubt the newer QS processor would work anyways, I was just inserting a hypothetical, and it should not be considered a recommendation.
