iMac G5 Design Discussion-good & bad-

I was loking at the design and pics and tried to think of what Apple was thinking about when they designed this for the non-pro home user. From all the pics and the few video's of the iMac I noticed a few things and want to know if they make sense to others out there.

1. The plastic area below tthe screen with the Apple logo;

This seems to be what is most striking and needless to say very eye catching. But this is an area that the power supply is in order to keep the weight of the machine down low in order to prvent it from being top heavy. It also raises the screen to a higher point, like a laptop on an iCurve stand. Better for your neck?


2. Ports on the right side.

Seems that most people are right handed this would account for their placement on the right hand side.

3. Thick frame.

From the video it seems that coolong this thing was a major issue and a thickeer all around fram to promote cooling of the HD and processor is essential.

4. Bottom mounted speakers.

Probrobly gonna suck just like all the others


Let me know what you all think on these points.
