I have a G4 800 Mhz, 17"inch with a Gig Of Ram. Top Programs are iTunes, mail, imovie/final cut, Age of Mythology, Microsoft 2004 and iPhoto. I have another year left on my apple care. Is it worth buying a new iMac or should I wait until next summer?

Unless you're the type that can afford a new computer every two years, you should wait. I think the new iMac is great system, but an 800MHz G4 is still serviceable.

Well, if you planned on selling your current iMac to fund, in part, the iMac G5, I'd do it now. The value of you iMac can't go anywhere but down, and having a year of AppleCare (which is transferable) is a good selling point.

I'd do it, but it's not my money.
I am stupidest when I try to be funny.
