Check out this review from CBS. In brief:
* He doesn't like the way Phil Schiller dresses
* He doesn't like the way the iPod dancers dance
* He doesn't like the color white
* He is afraid the new iMac will tip over
* He doesn't like the fact that you can't change the monitor
How can I get a job spewing stupidity like this? This guy (and George Bush) really have it good!

This guy is a known hack. Rates up there with Thurrott.
His only claim to fame is that his last name is Dvorak.

Dvorak is a moron. His PC articles are stupid, and his Mac articles wouldn't make most high school newspapers. 'Nuff said.

He's not a moron at all. He's quite intelligent. He's just a disingenuous assbag. He's deliberately exaggerating to pander to the PC clones and stir up the shiite with the Mac-heads at the same time.

Anyone notice that he said NOTHING about what this hideous thing can do? All he can do is make fun of what it looks like. That's just a matter of taste, and clearly, this guy has none.
Sure hope investors aren't listening to this baboon.

Ha. That made my day.
When was the last time you bought an iMac to change the screen?
Why does this guy still have a job?

This guy has no understanding of technology.
But as Schiller mentioned, it can hold 10,000 songs that "you can have with you all the time." What maniac needs to have 10,000 songs with them all the time?
Why carry a few cds worth when you can carry your entire collection in the same space? What an idiot. (I own a 40GB ipod and never have to choose what I bring with me to work.)

I might as well admit that I wholeheartedly agree with Dvorak on all those points. While I do own a mac, I have made sure to remove the mouse because the mouse is useless anyways.

The most ridiculous complaint he has is about the integrated display. It's an iMac for crying out loud, that's what makes an iMac an iMac.
His complaints about promoting the iPod are equally silly. It's a huge success story for Apple, you tell people about it - esp. Mac fans and the press at the Apple Expo. As for putting the iPod first and the iMac last, I guess he's never seen a Steve Jobs keynote before. The new hardware ALWAYS comes last, that's the way it has always been before the iPod existed and since.

Well, his PC oriented columns are often almost as stupid. Let's just say he is an intelligent guy, but with no common sense.

Schiller spent a lot of time bragging about Apple's 59 percent market share in the MP3 player market. Is this something to be proud of? Where does this market head?
I really don't understand his thinking here. Apple created this market from practically nothing. And yes, I would say that 59% market share is something to be proud of, especially for a company which is used to 5% market share.
-Where does this market head?
Forwards. I guess Dvorak prefers listening to cassette tapes on his Walkman. Good for him.

The Macintosh uses an experimental pointing device called a "mouse". There is no evidence that people want to use these things.

It reads about as intelligently as a lot of opinions here. Lots of picking without actually using the product first.
The design is just about perfect. Sure if you want to pay more for a larger yet squarer screen you could lose the chin. I like though how it looks like a modernized Macintosh Plus. They covered up the need for more component space with a retro look.

I can't still believe people are still going ape over Dvorak writes.
His purpose is to provoke. He attacks Macs, PCs, the networking comanies, ISPs, etc. While some of the things he says are abolutely right on, he is meant to be a shock-jock for the geek journalism world.
So you can go OMG, read the article, send hate mails, spread the news around on Macnn - this is exactly what his publisher wants to you to do!
In addition, some of his comments re the riskiness of AIO and the whole cable off the side are exactly what people on this board have been arguing as well.
Get over it.

He says the ipod has 59% of the mp3 market share, and then says what kind of MANIAC would buy it.
And then he calls the imac bulky. I guess he must not have seen any of the PC's that have been produced in the past 10 years.
Taking cheap-shot's at the way Phil Schiller dresses is sort of desperate.
What a idiot!

Dvorak is a professional troll. He's like a parasite living off of his host. Dvorak makes a very good 6 figure income in part by slamming Apple Computer in general and Mac's in particular. Without Apple Computer to write about he'd be just another under employed hack.

Agree mostly. But he does not make his living off of slamming Apple, please do not be so paranoid/self-centered. He's a professional troll that attacks pretty much everything under the sun - sometimes rightly, sometimes wrongly - but it is a fun way to make a living.

This iPod lovefest went on and on. What's more, Schiller added, the iPod is an "ecosystem!" It's hard to stomach all this nonsense.
I must admit: I like it!

To be fair, I like to see you make a prediction on what the future of technology 10 years from now too and see how accurate you are.
