Are the new iMac G5 models in the Apple Stores (The Brick and Mortar ones)?
I know they're not in stock - but do they have them to play with, and see first hand???
Are they there?

I'd like to know that, too.
I guess I could just call in and ask...
Maybe I'll do it sometime the next days.

I checked with 2 of the 3 Apple stores in the Twin Cities, both Mall of America and Rosedale, and both said that none of the Apple stores would have them "until mid-September."

I have been to the Apple Store in Mission Valley, San Diego and they told me that they think they will receive them on the 13th or around that time...

Two more weeks till I can see in person how big that white space under that monitor really is. I'm sure it'll look better in person.

Yes, this is the point of my 17" vs. 20" thread. In theory, the 20" should look better since the white space is "proportionally" less. I.e. it is wider, of course, but not higher (while screen areas is *both* wider + higher).
The iMac video seems to confirm this ... the iPhoto couple is using a 20", and the GarageBand kid a 17" (I think) ... if so, the 17" does seem a little dominated by the white case IMHO.
