I was told to expect another two week delay... then bang! the second day after my call my new MAC showed up! I didn't bother with the box pics.. but here it is all unpacked and ready to yield 14+Gflops! Specs are in my signature bloc... All I'm waiting on now is the Nvidia 6800 to be delivered no later than Sep 17, and then I'll be all set!

Nice setup
Any particular reason for using wireless keyboard and mouse?

Gimmick factor really... although they've been great, work like a charm.. and I kept my old keyboard and mouse as backup.. on the big plus side, is two less wires... the minus side is about 6 new AAA's every month or so.

Really nice setup. Clean and functional.
BTW, that's a really cool fan. It looks new, but has the style of an old fan from the 30's or something. Where'd ya get it? I want one.

Thanks, I try to keep it low clutter..
now for the fan... I love quality stuff..
I discovered this at a Great Indoors store, but they can be purchased many places. There are many knock offs of this model, that are poorly made and made in far off places.. This model is by Casablanca (i think they have a website) and it comes in black and brass, as well as 3 different sizes. I have the smallest and it's about $200 new... Casablanca is the #1 ceiling fan / fan maker in the world (for quality). My whole house has ceiling fans by them.
Go check it out, but be advised it weighs a ton, solid and old fashioned workmanship however.

Nice setup, though you have so little desk space that you really should put the tower on the floor!

P.S. Yay for quality gadgets! This summer I threw out two cheap Honeywell fans that failed after about 8 months. In both of them, the motors or bearings died.

Yeah... I don't need the desk space, as I have a office / den, this is just a "computer nook" which faces our family room... As for floor for the G5, with the way that thing sucks in air (like a vacuum) and after seeing how much my G4 sucked in, not gonna happen..
As for Honeywell fans.... basically junk. The best are either Casablanca, or Craftmade. Home Depot stuff like Hunter, and Honeywell is not meant to last. I learned all of this building a new house last year.
