I was wondering if there was a way to use an iMac G5 20" as a 2nd Monitor for a desktop.

My scenario would be this:

Use it as a 2nd monitor for my edit stuite. Then use it as a render farm for aftereffects, motion, etc. Since the cost for a 20" Apple LCD is around $1300 it would be like getting a G5 for only $600 more!

Do you think it's possible?

Only with a hardware hack, possibly a quite complicated one.
No software or out-of-the-box solution.
