eMac, 10.2.8: Suddenly no more drag and drop or print.

	What could be wrong with this one eMac or how can we look for the problem? We have had several eMacs for the last two years and sporadic problems with only one. Suddenly, Drag and Drop doesn't work any more and we can no longer print or select a printer. We've reinstalled OSX 10.2.8 at least twice, after which things work again for several months (1/2 year). We frequently check and repair the disk and permissions. TechTools Pro and Apple hardware tests don't find anything wrong.
