When I order my new G5 iMac, I am planning on getting the BTO Bluetooth module and the keyboard and mouse. Good deal for the money. I do have some questions thought.
I presently use a cordless Logitech 3-button mouse. Will I be able to continue to use this mouse even though I am using the bluetooth keyboard? I really like this mouse and do not want to give it up.
If I do not like the included bluetooth keyboard, are there other 3rd party bluetooth keyboard options available?

If you are talking about the Logitech MX 900 Bluetooth mouse, rest assured that it will work (I am using PowerBook G4 with it without any dongle or special driver).
However, if you are talking a non-bluetooth wireless mouse, then you need to connect the base station to a USB port. But this defeats the purpose of having everything wireless.
I think any bluetooth keyboard (especially from Logitech) will work with your new iMac; however, you may not have the special command or optical drive eject key if it is not a Mac specific keyboard.
So, it is most likely that you will have to use Apple's bluetooth keyboard, which is a fine keyboard for me.

Thanks for the info IPoder. I have a 20" G5 IMac on order with a Bluetooth and was wondering about a mouse.
BTW, nice area you live in!

It is an older USB wireless optical. As for the wireless, I will have a firewire external drive, iSub, printer and USB powered hub coming off the back so will not be wireless but would like to get rid of the keyboard wire that would be in front and in plain sight. Least that is something. Have the hub, iSub and firewire drive along with a Zip drive and an old Imation drive and the mouse receiver in a wood case that sets on the desktop off to the side along with the puter so at least they are out of sight. I guess I am thinking one wire at a time......
Thanks for the reply.......Rich

Can bluetooth be added internal after purchase, or is it a build-to-order option only? There are some deals to be had for free memory, printer, etc from MacZone and others. And of course savings on sales tax, if I order out of state rather than from Apple here in CA. I know I could add a third party bluetooth external. But can it be added internal? Is it even available to order that way? I have not seen the version with bluetooth included from anyone other than Apple. And then, not even in the Apple stores.

Thanks, I guess the weather is a lot nicer than Mojave Desert if you don't mind the traffic.
