I am completely clueless on this, so any help would be much appreciated. I have a 17" flat-panel Imac (the old dome G4 version) and my 3rd party memory card went bad (the computer was crashing a lot and the hardware test showed a bad memory card). I think it was made by Kingston, as it says KINGMAX on the chips.
Anyway, can someone point me in the right direction here on a new memory card purchase of at least 512. What is the best bang for the buck out there as far as performance, capacity, quality and price. The Apple memory seems ridiculously priced.
Also, which is the correct type I should get. The existing chip says DDR SODIMM, N.
Thanks for any help in advance!
Mike
