I'm looking to run final cut pro, motion and dvd studio and I wanted to buy a dual processor power mac g4, what is the slowest power mac I could get for this, and would dual 866g4's do the job well?

or what about dual 533 ish g4's could those do it? I'm looking at a budget of around $700-$800 preferably cheaper.

For the price range you're looking at, a Dual 533 is as good as it gets.

Personally, I think the Dual 533 is the best of the Power Mac G4s and is still a capable machine. Whether or not it would be sufficient for your needs, I don't know since I don't use any of those apps.

What I can tell you off the bat is that Motion seems to like the video card as much as the processor. So whatever you end up getting, definitely upgrade to a more modern video card if you're going to be using Motion a lot.
