Hey all,

Can someone (anyone) post the model number of the 250GB SATA drives that Apple's shipping with the G5's now (you can get the model number in System Profiler)? The 160GB drive is a Seagate, and I'm interested in seeing what Apple's shipping for the 250GB capacity.

TIA,
Maury

I've got a 2.0 DP G5 that is about a month old - the stock 160 gig drive is a Maxtor drive. Model 6Y160MO. I added a 250 gig Maxtor, Model 6Y250MO.

specifically it's a Maxtor MaxLite II 250GB drive, AKA 7Y250M0

Fast drive actually, for being a year old and so large in size...
Mac Pro 3.0, ATI 5770 1GB VRAM, 10GB, 2xVelociraptor boot RAID, 4.5TB RAID0 storage, 30" & 20" Apple displays.
2 x Macbook Pro's 17" 3.06 4 GB RAM, 256GB Solid State drives
iMac 17" Core Duo 1GB RAM, & 2 iPhones 8GB, and a Nano in a pear tree!
Apple user since 1981
