so i just got a warning that my start up disc is nearly full!!!
i have managed to free up 10GB but i no that that will not last me long.

so the question is:
do i go firewire 800 external disc and put all media on that or
use up my second internal slot?

money is an issue as i have to pay for insurance claims on the car as well at the moment however a the most permenant solution would be a better one.

for those who dont read signiters the new HD is for a dual 2.0Ghz G5

any help appreciated

wow, you managed to fill that 160Gb?

I would go with an internal one for two reasons:

They're cheaper on a Gigabyte:dollar ratio
You'll have less clutter on your desk

I would definitely fill the inside before I started thinking about exterior drives, but if you want to transport your media or hook it up to your ibook then I guess a firewire drive would be best.

yeah filled it no problem with my DVD's and stuff - i just find it FAR easier to have them on my computer + then i will always have them with me.

yeah the internal does seem a lot more apealing any ideas of where to get them from? (UK based or able to ship to)

i would go with the internal also. external are nice but sometimes become a hassle when using for stuff other then backup. i think 250 gb is like 150 USD dunno about euro. either way INTERNAL BABY!
