Hello all and thanks in advance for the help.

My brother has an aged 333mhz iMac with 256mb of ram that was running panther that he is using at school 400 miles away. It was working fine until recently. He says that it froze while installing windows media player and when he restarted it never got past the screen with the apple on it. I we reset the nvram via open firmware and reset the pram. Neither of thse helped.

He currently doesn't have any of the panther CDs with him (that is an error on my part, i should have given them to him). Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this other than me UPS-ing him the CDs and telling him to reinstall panther? I don't think there are really any other options but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks.
