ok.. after i transfered my ~/Library folder from my powerbook to my new G5, i have the battery icon in my menu bar.

but in the preferance pane in the system prefs for energy saver, there is no "show batter status in the menu bar" check box like there is on my powerbook.

also, strangly i have the bluetooth icon on my menu bar too (even tho i have no bluetooth device installed) my powermac had blue tooth.


so something somewhere in ~/Library informs what should be on the menu bar...

any clues?

command drag the icon off the menubar.

(that applies to any menu icon, and you can use it also to shift their positions)

i'll take one . that is wierd though i've always been nervous to drag my library over. i wonder if it can make any other preferences act funny? ^_^
