Hi

I have got two questions! Firstly, I asked several months ago about which computer you guys recommend that i buy. nI am going to be going to a Universsity in thw UK next year to study Media production and video editing etc. Which machine would you recommend, please try and be specific, taking into account I get student discount, but am not spenging over £1000!

I need to be able to edit video, sound, burn DVDs etc, use graphic design software as well as animation software such as Macromedia flash. What do you recommend?!

My second question is that I have got a iBook G3 with 128MB ram. Would you recomend getting it increased to 256? Would this make any difference? Its just a little slow at completitng some tasks. How myuch would this cost? Thanks, James

For the iBook I would just bite the bullet and buy a 512mb chip, bringing it up to a total (and the maximum) of 640mb. This will make a huge difference to the general performance of your computer. I found upgrading my G4 iBook from 256 to 512 made a big difference. Most people tend to say that 512mb is really the minimum you want for OS X.
