I've recently replaced the video card on my Cube as the previous one went bad.

The Cube (500mhz with 15inch flat panel screen) was working fine until recently when I turned it on, the screen was all black and nothing showed up, the computer itself is fine, but I get no visual. After about 3 days with the system OFF I tried to boot up again, this time the screen lit up and all was good.

So I decided that I would just put the cube to sleep without turning it off and I wouldn't run into the problem again, it was good for a few weeks, no problems.. however.

Recently I needed to resart the system after installing some new software, the problem is back, black screen again! I have no idea why its like this... any anwsers would be appreciated a lot.

I recently had vaguely similar probs with my cube. In my case, turning the power on simply lit up the power button, no startup sound or anything.

After clicking the power manager reset button on the motherboard (tedious to get to) all was fine. (Then again it could have just been the disassembly/reassembly voodoo, as I had to remove the display card.)

The documentation I read led me to suspect the replaceable battery was dying, but I haven't yet gotten to changing it, so I can't verify it.

But if you haven't changed the battery, now would be a good time
