Anyone hear any rumblings yet about an updated iMac G5?

Reason I'm asking is I'm seriously contemplating retiring my trusty Cube and getting me a 20" iMac G5...but I'd like to see one with an updated GPU (and anything else that might need to be ironed out, with it being a rev. A machine and all).

Do you think I should wait until after MWSF in January, or should I just take a plunge and treat myself for Christmas?

This has been touched on a little in these threads.

Unless Apple listens to their customer's feeback vs their marketing and biz planners and surprises us all, most folks think a Rev B announcent will come at the absolute earliest in late March, at which point you may get one around early May.

I'm guessing June and hoping for this Tuesday.

I would however wait till MWSF, just to see what they release. If they announce Tiger's release and you order that day, you should be able to get it for free once it hits the shelves, for example. Also they may adjust prices and configurations to allow you to weigh different options.

It sells over expectations right now. There is no motive for updating it early and causing potential supply issues (and you know there will be issues with a new iMac launch...) when it's selling like this.

Yup selling like hot cakes even with the "Horrible" video card.

So far the 5 people I know that got one don't even know or care what a video card does because they are not trying to squeeze every last framerate out of a game.
