Last night there was a small burst kind of sound from my G5 and it powered off. Now it wont switch on. When I press the power button a clicking sound comes but still it does not switch on. Where I live there are no Apple Service Centres anywhere, so taking it to them it out of the question.
Is there anything I should look for? I am desperate. Thanks

seems to have been the power supply...
Probably it is damaged and you may need to replace it.
HTH, good luck!
(BTW, if that's confirmed, try to understand what caused it, so it doesn't happen anymore)

Was the date & time reset after you replaced the power supply? If so, you just wasted money on the power supply... you just needed to do a PMU reset.

We did a PMU reset and it did not work. In my earlier post I mentioned that there was a loud blast before it went off.
