I go back to a Classic (I still have a Classic ll) , got a G3 iMac two years ago...added an iBook this past Spring...and was stumbing along with an old G4 tower - 'till the damn kernel panics simply got the best of me. (I have a G3 eMac just for accounting too...)
So, I ordered this simple, 17" G5 1.8 iMac.

Sheee-it! Sweeeet! Man, it makes my old Snaggletooth tower look like some sort of pedal car. I really splurged and got the bluetooth mouse/keyboard - Man, why didn't you tell me 'no frickin wires' was this nice!?

I L-O-V-E this machine. ...and it's not because I'm some sort of Mac-Mooney either.

Anyway, I had to tell someone who might understand. My wife would understand better had it been a Porsche.

Have a good 2005 all!

...and Steve, I don't begrudge your jet - this afternoon.

Congrats... I got the same config and am equally pleased with the result. It's nice when a plan comes together...

I'm also a proud new owner of an iMac 17" 1.8Ghz with 1GB Ram. Man, it's lovely. Congrats!
