Do any of the current iMacs or eMacs have an upgradable processor similar to what the G4 Cube has?
(Curiousity mostly)

- PowerMac G5 - Dual 2.0 Ghz, 3GB, Soundsticks!,

As far as I'm aware, they are all soldered onto the logic board. This is definitely true with the eMac; I haven't looked closely enough at the iMac G5. It's true of the iMac G4.

No clue about the G5 iMac even tho I have one. I'd bet its welded in tho.. eMac CPU's are definitely welded in there.. However, the 1ghz eMacs are not too tricky to overclock if you are handy with a soldering iron. I can pretty much guarantee 1.2ghz will work (It does on mine) And I know some folk have taken them as far as 1.6ghz(!) with no apparent problems. Rather their eMac than mine! No clue what is achievable with the newer 1.25ghz eMacs...
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.
