bought a 2.0 G5 a few months ago, very satisfied. anyways, i went on vacation for a week and now when i come back, she wont boot.

computer starts up but monitor, mouse, keyboard do not respond. also the power light blinks 3 times. after a few minutes, the fans goes bananas.

i have no upgrades or modifications whatsoever. i searched to no avail, please let me know what i can try. thank you in advance.

If my memory is correct, three flashes means it can't locate some hardware such as the RAM - try re-seating a few things.

thank you very much . that was the culprit. i read that the ram could be a possibility for the g4, but never thought it would for me because i've never opened the case before. happy new year.
