Does anybody know if the pci-x bridge will take 32bit/33mhz cards? ...and if it does will it still take 64bit/66/100/133mhz cards at full speed? Or does it do what most chips do and slow everything down to 33mhz once you have both a 33mhz and a 66/100/133mhz card installed?

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Actually that was my thread and that's the reason I'm asking... the question is does the bridge set one frequency or can it handle more than one.

Sorry...I didn't notice that was your post. But you seem to answer your own question.

Seem to yes... but the question that I need to know for sure is if I can use both 32bit pci cards and 64bit pci cards on the same bus w/o the bus clocking down to 33mhz.

It's standard for the PCI bus to run at the speed of the slowest card.
So yes, it'll downclock. The G5s only have 1 PCI-X bus.
It's the reason many high end PC boards still have 1 32bit slot (and for the 5 volt reason)
The slot will still only take 3.3 volt cards.

Isn't the 133MHz PCI-X slot on a different bus than the other two slots??

I'm going from memory, so it could be, yes.
If that's the case, there's 2 busses.
If someone has the tech manual, that'll show for sure. Too tired to track it down now.

There is only one pci-x bus according to the articles I have read.

Download the hardware reference PDF from Apple's hardware developer section. Check the block diagram on page 21. You can also see the HTML version of that page here
The two PCI-X 100 slots are on one bus from the PCI-X bridge, the PCI-X 133 slot is on a separate bus from the PCI-X bridg
If you read the notes below the diagrams, you also find out the PATA bus for the optical drive is an "Ultra DMA ATA/100 bus". Someone asked about that bus in a recent thread.
