Gizmodo received some images from a source that was moving inventory for MacWorld Expo. Check it out before it is too late.

Okay, deep breath… whoa.

Granted that as I look at it a little bit more, the packaging is not of Apple designer graphic quality. However, I am excited…

Yeah, the ports especially look fake. Though, if real, Apple wants everyone to use that mini VGA port and composite out video cord. Plus there's no DVI. We'll know by Tuesday. or monday i'm not 100% on that.

lol...very nice...Here's a post I made on another board that a couple friends and I gathered for it being fake, along with some reasons that were on the MacRumors boards.

How many American's spell Center "Centre"? Apple is an American company after all, and I doubt they'd regionalize their boxes for other countries, even though they spell it differently.

Now that's odd, isn't it? For some reason I think Apple has the resources to get the packing material to fit the box a little better, not need to cram in a spare piece.

1. Now what the hell is that little black dot? I think Apple could hide an IR receiver a little better than that, or make a power button blend in at least a little better.
2. That corner looks to be a bit dented...
3. Look really close...Is there a line on TOP of the unit?

1. More with the dented corners...
2. OK, now that one's DEFINATELY not plastic, I've only ever seen cardboard collapse like that.
3. That line's back in this picture too. Now I'm convinced it's a piece of paper pasted on there. iHome's printed on the paper, which is pasted on the cardboard box. Funny how the pics are just slightly too low of resolution to really tell.

My conclusion is it's a fake. The box it's in seems just a little bit too big for the tiny unit you pull out of it, the front is two colors...silver and white...small detail, but I doubt Apple would be quite so tacky.

The font on top of the box, it's not the font Apple uses on it's products. The dot on the i is square, not round. It's also over the H in Home...On their other boxes the dot on the i either lines up or is slightly below the top of the next letter.

This has already been discussed in another thread. It would not be hard to find the thread since it is the largest going right now. I'm surprised this thing hasn't been locked.

2400 posts since the year 2000. Makes about 1.6 posts per day. And every single one of them was hopefully more worth reading than this one of yours.
