Do you guys (and girls ;-) ) think Apple will include iWork with PowerMacs in the nearby future? At the moment a "test-drive of M$-Office is included, which itself is a laugh as this can be downloaded for free anyway. It's like saying you get IE included as well...

Since iLife'05 is included with every Mac, it's a bit strange it doesn't say so at the Apple Store when you look for iLife'05. So by looking at iWork, you cannot make up if they will ship it with the Pro Macs.

The software bundle included with each Mac is listed on its hardware Tech Specs page. It's possible that iWork will be bundled with future machines just as iLife is. I am tempted to claim that it won't be bundled just based on the fact that Keynote was not. I would say that there's a 50% probability that it will be bundled.

I dont think it will be. they still bundle AppleWorks with 'em though AFAIK. they are "Building a successor to AppleWorks" but 'till this is complete (next year me thinks) I don't think so.

iWork will NOT come with PowerMacs (or any Mac) for a while, if ever.

At least, not while Keynote is part of that package.

Apple used to sell Keynote for $99 and AppleWorks for $79, now you can get both for $79. Sounds like a bargain to me.

I am waiting for the successor to AppleWorks "Excel" equivalent. I call it "Cell"
