I ordered mine at 4:05 PST on the 11th, paid for 2nd Day ($14.00) and my order still says "Open". Meanwhile, others report that theirs has left China via FedEx and is on the way.

This is something we don't need. When you get it, then report back.

I don't get why ppl pay for upgraded shipping on Apple machines...I guess newbies wouldn't know, but Apple ALWAYS upgrades one's shipping to AT LEAST 2 day. Case in point, every Mac I've bought from Apple.com (3 of them now) since 2003 I have chose free shipping and got OVERNIGHT shipping magically free.

I ordered a G4 "Digital Audio" back in the summer of '01 and traced it across the U.S. via FedEx tracking. Took a week which is why I ordered the Mini 2nd Day. Any software I've ordered online from the Apple Store has also taken several days though it usually doesn't come out of California, but from some warehouse in the midwest.

Yeah I agree. I noticed that they only upgrade shipping if the item comes from overseas, not from the CA shipping dept. I ordered Mac OS 10.3 a long time ago, and it shipped from CA, so it was the 2day shipping or GND, I cannot remember. I ordered a Powerbook G4 and later an iPod, both coming from Shanghai CH, and it shipped via FedEx IPD? It came overnight, or right after it arrived in US soil.

O.K. Let's reduce this down to the bare minimum so our moderators don't lock up the thread. If you've ordered a Mac mini, has it shipped, have you received shipping confirmation, or even better, have you received it?
