Since the new PowerBooks were introduced today and Apple normally updates the more important things on Tuesday, it has been mentioned that the new eMac G5 could be announced tomorrow.
What do you think?
I personally believe the eMac could be kicked altogether. The Mac mini allows schools to get a cheap Mac and even run it with a cheap CRT if they prefer. The others should be fine with the iMac G5 in all its configurations. So maybe Apple will soon announce the eMac will be discontinued.

Mac mini G6 [sic] tomorrow.
The only logical conclusion.

The PowerBooks today weren't really 'new', just updated.

Is there anybody on this board who would rather buy an eMac than a mini?
The more I think about it, the more I realize I'd really be amazed to see Apple update the eMac.

I'm glad you're coming to some sense of reality by yourself.
A G5 eMac is not going to happen soon, if at all. Not before the PowerBooks go G5 anyways.

If you would post half as much and use the saved time to read and think, you'd notice that I never said the eMac should get a G5 or that I believed it would.

This definitely sounds like you once did, and now changed your mind:

The question was, would they update the eMac to the specs of the mini, not update to a G5. Duh.
