To all those others who ordered BTO Minis:
I ordered a fullblown BTO Mini early in the morning on the 13th.
Got my wireless mouse/keyboard on the 17th.
Apple emailed me on the 29th. w/ FedEx tracking #...
informing me that the unit... "Has Been Shipped".
Even now FedEx shows that the unit "IS NOT" yet in their possession:

I called FedEx (800-455-4588) and got ahold of a mid level mngr... who informed me that Apple is shipping these units "SPACE AVAILABLE" in large boxes. He said that there was "NO WAY" of telling when mine or any other minis might get shipped. Maybe this week maybe NOT ! He said this was the contracty Apple entered into with FedEx.
I then called Apple customer support and a (nice) lady couldn't
offer me any additional or helpful info...
nor could she deny what the FedEx mngr. told me.
But, she offered to have my Mini shipped "Overnite" upon its arrival inn Anchorage... although she couldn't give me any idea of when that might be.
Apple gave me "guaranteed" delivery date of the 11th. of Feb.
Why the hell is Apple shipping these units "SPACE AVAILABLE"...
when SO MANY have been ordered?
Anybody on this forum have any additonal insight on this issue?

You got cheap shipping direct from the factory in China. What did you expect?

They haven't hit my credit card yet... I guess I falsely assumed
that they'd go warp speed up to that point at least.
