has anyone purchased in the GTA, or Canada? I'm thinking of ordering directly from Apple.ca, will I be taxed GST and/or PST? or will it be shipped from abroad and I'd have to pay duties?

I'm contemplating upgrading the memory to 1gig. and from what i've read, the MINI only has one memory slot, so upgrading would render the original 256meg useless. now can I stick this memory into my PC that's running a P4? it has 3 slots for 184-pin DDR DIMM and supports PC2700/PC210 (FSB533) or PC2100/PC1600 (FSB400) unbuffered non-ECC DDR DIMMs. and I believe the MINI uses 184-pin PC2700 DDR DIMM.

Thanks in advance for any info. Anxious to get a MINI!

I bought from the Apple Store direct - over the phone - and I'm not paying PST or GST (because I have an exemption) - you just have to explain over the phone and send them some ID. Alternatively, go into your local reseller or CompuSmart - show them your tax exemption ID - they'll sell one to you then and there. My local CompuSmart has them in stock - obviously then you can't go with custom built options.

Note: the Apple Store is based in the US but your Mini will be 'Canadian' i.e. no import duty, but local taxes apply.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your original question. I'm a foreign diplomat so I don't pay sales tax in Canada.
