Okay, first off, I'd like to point out that I did not do this, it was my father, who doesn't know a whole lot about technology.

He put one of those small CD's (itty bitty), into my parents G5 iMac. Well, needless to say, it didn't work, and now it wont eject. I was wondering how I could get it out without having to take it to the Apple Store.

I've already tried to force an eject by holding down the mouse button while starting up, but I don't think this works because their mouse is a bluetooth mouse.

Is this even something I can take care of, or should I just load it up and go to the Apple Store? I heard there wasn't a manual eject button on drives of this type either, so I haven't even bothered to look.

Thanks.

Well, one thing to try is to very carefully restart the iMac while holding it in the air so that the drive slot is facing down, unobstructed. I've heard of people extracting mini CDs from PowerBooks that way, and since the iMacs use the same models of drives, there's no reason it shouldn't work.

Barring that, you'll need to either take it apart yourself and see if you can get the disc out of the drive, or take the iMac in. Apple will probably charge for this, since it likely has a warning somewhere in the manual to only use full-size, round discs.
