Quick question...

Bought a US iMac G5 (20")

Moving to Japan, will it work correctly? Or do I need a special power adapter?

Thanks -

I think japan uses 110V AC power. Don't know about the plugs.

Search teh intarweb!

the plugs are the same, though you do still often find two prong outlets. you might want to pick up an adapter so that a three-prong plug will fit the outlet or look for a powerbar with a two-prong plug and three-prong outlets once you get there.

Japan has a 100v voltage and does not have a ground.
But, I assume that the iMac should run fine at that voltage since in the U.S. the voltage usually is lower than 120v.

IIRC there are also two different frequencies found in Japan: 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
