I'm thinking of buying my friend's Dual 2.5/1G/160GB/BT/Applecare. He's got a aluminum 20 inch display too. He wants $3700 for all of this. Do you think this is a good deal for a used machine?
i actually think its too high. I can get the 2.5 refurbished from the apple store for $2600 and the Cinema Display for 900 (edu discount) bring it to $3500
It's not a great deal, but I think it's good. Last summer I got a dual 2.0/1G/160GB + 20" for about $4100, all with the edu discount. You're getting a better machine for less, albeit used.
