Hi: I have the PowerMac G5 brand new and I was able to use the number pad on the keyboard in the beginning. I can't get it to work now and I looked everywhere for the numlock key and don't see it. I use the keyboard for the PC as well and it works fine. What do you think?

Thank You.

The "numlock" key for a PC maps out to the "clear" key on a Mac keyboard. It's in the upper left corner of the numpad. However, it doesn't do anything on a Mac except clear a text entry line in apps that support it.

Are you using the keyboard that came with it?

Are you having trouble in just 1 app?

- That app might be weird, and get input from the keyboard in a different way.

Have you installed any new drivers for anything?

Hi I am using the keyboard that came with the Mac. I have downloaded things that may have caused the numpad to stop working but I don't know what would cause this problem.

thanks

Hi!

Everyone comes across that once in his Mac-Life: Check /System Preferences/Universal Access/Mouse" and deactivate the mouse movement function and better uncheck the button below (the press shift 5 times thing, I don't know what it's called exactly as I'm on a German system).
