Thanks to everyone's help on this site I'm in the market for a used dual processor G4. I've read many posts were people talk about loud fans and power supplies. Are there some models I should avoid? Which models had the bad power supplies? For some reason the 1GHz models are going for much more than the 933 or 857 MHz. Is it for psychological reasons or is there something other than Hz going on?

MDD powermacs are more expensive than Quicksilvers, which are more expensive than the others and it just trickles down with each revision.

an ideal setup would be a dual 1.42Ghz Wind-tunnel (MDD) PowrMac, but get as good of a machine as you can afford (system bus, drive bays, etc) and you can upgrade the other stuff down the road if you chose to go that route.
