So, I went out and got the G5 PowerMac Last Thursday. I don't have it yet because I got the video card upgrade (9600 XT 128MB) and my University had to custom order it

Questions:
What is in the box?
Am I going to get the new iLife '05?
Doe I get the cool apple stickers ()

GoDucks must be an engineer - either that or a foreign student. Congratulations on your purchase.

I can't spell very well, but I sure can push a pixel...Actually, if you google the word, it seems to be commonly misspelled. So, I guess I don't feel so bad.

Anyway. Anyone know what comes in the box besides the stickers and the machine?

Had a client finally pay me...
Besides, spellcheck does NOT catch baught...oh, wait. It does.

Sheesh! Does anyone know what is in there! Of course I am totally excited about my new fatty, kicks ass over my old G4 400 PCI, PowerMac G5!!!!
Aside from the stickers (of which I would LOVE to have some of those old ones...):
Are there any extra FireWire cords? Stuff like that.

When I got my G4 6 years ago, it had some extra apps, some extra cords, and other stuff.

This thread may get moved to the lounge... Sheesh.

Cant a guy make a spelling error in a forum?

I recently "baught" one as well. It comes with a keyboard and mouse, a users manual, a computer, a set of apple stickers, and a few connectors and airport antennas. lol Which G5 did you get?

Thanks a ton!

I gaught the single 1.8. However, I upgraded the video card for the measly $45. I know it's the GPU that really matters but having more megs and migs looks / sounds better. It prolly helps too.

He needs it for the built in spell check.

His current computer is obviously not powerful enough to spell check now.

typically spelling skills are not the most highly compensated on a relative basis.

its real nice when people actually reply with the info you want.
try this link: http://www.apple.com/powermac/specs
it doesn't say what version of iLife it comes with but i did speak to an an apple tech a while ago who said all new powermacs do come with iLife '05. hope all of that answers your question.

Thank you all for replying to (or not really replying to) my message. I have my new machine, and I love it. And guess what!!! It comes with stickers!!!!

Anyway, iLife '05, and other standard crap. One gripe; apple should include the male ->male FireWire cord so that people can move all their old stuff to the new box...

Whatever...

I'm just impressed with the discipline of your six-year upgrade cycle. Just wait for 2011!
