One of my relatives is in Canada and coming back in a couple of days and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the power adapter on the Mac mini is universal (120/240v) or just 120v which wont work in my country.

I read that it is universal. I can't confirm right now because I'm not at home. I will take a look at it tonight.
