I bought this G5 1.8 Double Processor last November, aded of 2X500 megs Dims to the ones that were in allready. Shortly after working and turn off for an 8H00 rest period, it freezes each time I press the start button from cold when getting to PSWRD window. I have to hold button to turn it off then restart the computor. Last week I brought it back to the service bureau I bought it from. AHT did not find anything. Tomorrow they will test the Dimms then the 80 Gig HD. I do not want to own a lemon from Apple. Can I ask to change for another one? I want this Brand New machine worth the money invested.

Can someone tell me what to do?

Have you done an Archive and Install reinstall of the OS?

I did that and no result. At the service bureau I bought it from they made many tests for the last two weeks and they Isolate the problem. They took off the Dimms and the DVD so the freeze at startup kept happening. They will install a new Mother board and both CPUs. Then will test again. What a bummer. I will keep inform this forum about it.
