I have a 15-month old G4 iMac... the kind shaped like half a basketball with the screen on a swiveling bar... about two weeks ago, the CD drawer wouldn't open. When I press the drawer open button, it makes a "sh-dunk" sound, but nothing happens. I have tried every way possible to trick it into opening that I can think of... and am sorta resigned to bringing it in to a repair place...
Just one question... Is this potentially an expensive repair? How much should I expect to spend?
Thanks...
PS: OR, never having opened a Mac before, is it worth trying to fix myself?
