Considering purchasing a used DP 1.8 G5. Has there been a revision upgrade since they introduced them originally? Anything I need to be aware of? It's advertised as 2.5gb of RAM and a 120gb drive. I'm assuming those are both third party add-ons.

Hi!

Yes, when the G5 was introduced the 1.8 was the middle of the line and had PCI-X and 8 RAM-Slots. Later it became the entry model and now only offers PCI-slots instead of PCI-X and four RAM-slots, also harddrive size was reduced from 160 to 80 GB. Both came with 512 MB of RAM. I have no idea how to tell them apart from the outside.
