Hi, I placed a CD-RW drive LITE-ON LTR-52327S inside the empty optical drive of my MDD, to my surprise the unit is unable to open since the front bezel of the LITE-ON is wider that the MDD inner door space, how silly is this ?

That is the only issue since Mac OS X sees the LITE ON CDRW so far.

Any suggestion ?
Thanks.

take the front bezel off; it should just slide upwards.

I guess its louder than expected, but after over a years use I don't notice it anymore. The ability to burn a CD in under two minutes is well worth the noise. Anyway, its far from silent, but I guess the noise is usual and the MDD actually block most of it.
