I was contemplating buying Tiger (£99) and iLife (£49). If I wait until it comes bundles with new Mac MIni's (next month) I am basically getting a Mac Mini for £179. Could I put Tiger on my G5 and downgrade the OS X on the Mac Mini?

1. Why would you want to downgrade the Mini's OS?
2. 10.4 is £89, not £99
3. There are other threads saying that the OS discs with a Mac are now locked to the type of Mac it ships with, unless you do something with the packages on the disc.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

Buy the Mini now and it will come bundled with 10.3 then pay the small ammount to get Tiger sent to you on disk and put that on your G5 rather than the Mini
