It was really strange - I updated to 10.3.9, and on restart I noticed that my G5's power LED was not on, despite the fact that my G5 was on and functioning normally. I shut down and on restart it came back on, but I never thought I would see something like that. . .

There were quite a few reports of the same thing happening with 10.3.8. A total shut down was needed to get the light working again; a restart wouldn't do it.

Interesting, thank you for the confirmation. I guess I missed those reports. Certainly was strange. . .

The pulsating sleep light on my wife's iMac G5 quit pulsing after installing 10.3.8. It would simply stay lit when the machine was sleeping. Restarts would fix it for a while, but it eventually went back to not pulsing. Haven't yet tried 10.3.9's behavior yet.

Cadaver, did you try shutting down the iMac and let it sit for 10 minutes or so before restarting?
