Ok I just bought the base model Mac mini. I am looking for a good game to get for it. This is the 1rst new mac since my beige g3. What will run decent and be loads of fun. Here is what I have played in the past. Unreal, UT, diablo, Baldurs gate, starcraft, marathon.

I would like to hear from peolpe that have played the games they recommend on the mini. mention frame rates if possible.

The Mini might run Splinter Cell pretty good. At least my iBook does that.

If your thinking on WoW you'll want to opt for the 1GB ram module ..

Warcraft3 plays perfectly @ 1280x768 @ 32bit on my mini in my sig.

Starcraft is ported to OS X, so you can still enjoy that classic. You'd also enjoy Diablo 2, once again it's been updated for OS X. Both of those are on the older side but still a blast.

As for newer things, I'd recommend Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft (if you have more than the baseline ram) is an absolute dream, and Neverwinter Nights.

UT 2004 runs okay on a stock, 1.25Mhz 256meg RAM Mac Mini. It runs significantly better with 512meg of RAM. Either way it is playable. Probably not on all maps, I can think of at least one I've encountered that shouldn't be played on a Mac Mini, but on most it runs fine.
