I was installing a 256 card in my Blueberry today, hadn't taken the thing out of the shell for 5 years!
It was fun. But, when it came time to unhook the connectors (HD, Monitor power, etc. inside, I noticed an unused connection port I never knew existed! It is round, and looks like a larger S-Video type female port next to the others. What else could I hook up there? Is it for SCSI?

Interesting...

Do you mean the mezzanine slot? Here's an image: http://www.heise.de/ct/99/16/164/bild1.jpg

Edit: Wait, round? Nevermind then.

I believe it's the port for the infrared (IrDA) transceiver that was built into the Rev A and B iMacs and removed in the 5-flavors models.

Yes, it is the IrDa port. As someone who upgraded about 5 diffent iMac's memory is a short amount of time I became familier with that. It was removed in later revisions, but you could network iMacs (very slowly, and not reliable) using it in the Rev A days....

Well, IrDA wasn't designed for networking, but it works great for Palm syncing. Too bad Apple dropped it from the PowerBooks (since my Clié has IrDA but not Bluetooth).

Wow, cool stuff everyone!
Thanks for the info.

Guess my Palm USB sync cradle works just fine.
